“FANTASTIC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2010

We had a lovely stay in quai des princes .Spacious apartment with a sea view. It was clean, very good airconditionning, we loved the swimming pool, it is gorgeous with amazing views. The location is prime; if you want to explore the city, you want to be by the Port. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, bars, nightlife, and shopping. You don't need a car -
The staff was friendly and helpfull, the service was ok.
The breakfast is correct and delicious on the terrace.
See you next summer, we will come back

“Great View”

Myself and 2 friends stayed here for one night, the location was excellent and the view from the room was of the marina. It cost 12 euro's for a taxi to the casino but it can be walked in about 20 mins. There was a slight damp smell but you are right on the marina and surrounded by water. The car park leads directly into the hotel and was free. All in all a very reasonable price and location.

I have never written a hotel review before....but...DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Europe MUST have different hotel ratings than the US becasue this place is a dump!! It is rated 4 stars but do not stay here. Even if you are thinking..how bad can it be? we will never be in the room? It doesn' tmatter. The toilets don't flush, there is nor maid service,m the rooms and bathrooms are dirty and moldy, our ceiling leaked and the sheets were dirty. I kmnow it is a lot cheaper than the Marriott down the way, but DON"T DO IT!!!

“Disgusting, Dirty and should be rated a 1 star...at the most”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2009

I have stayed at this hotel very recently, and have to say I am thoroughly disgusted with the hotel.

Not only is our room filthy and unkept, with shoddy (if any) maintenance done to the interior, the entire facility is run down, dated, and most of all very dirty.

I have a very hard time with the price being 170.00 euros per night, seeing how the cleaning staff only come in every 3-4 days, and the state of the rooms and the building are very poor. I have lived in Europe for 3 years now, and we travel at least once a month, and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

I had to clean the room from top to bottom prior to moving in, rewashed all the of the linen, and even bought a new duvet and pillow. The blankets are tatty and unclean, the undersheets were covered in hair, and the bathroom hadn't seen a good clean of the floors, tiles or moldings in I am sure months, if not years.

The kitchen counter was still covered in crumbs, goop and old food caked in the fridge, and the dishes dirty and put back in the cupboard.

There is flaking paint on the ceilings and walls, unfinished parquet floors, and missing interior windows.

I have put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door, as I do not trust the cleaners to come in and clean over the work I have already done.

The decor is something to be desired, but that is besides the point. I have no problem with the hotel being dated, but a clean hotel is the very LEAST you could give to your guests.

I am not a spoiled traveler, and have stayed in 2, 3 and 4 star hotels before, and this is NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL!

My best recommendation is to find a nice villa to stay at instead, and avoid this hotel. If I had a choice (refund, location, etc.) we would have checked out immediately, but if we can save even one traveler the waste of money by booking at this hotel, it will be worth it.

I will be following up this review with a letter and photos to the HMC Hotel group.

“the worst place we have ever stayed in europe”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2007

After reading all these wonderful reviews we were incredibly disappointed upon arriving at the hotel and were wondering about the authenticity of the some of the reviews. We had booked this hotel for seven nights, but were lucky enough to be able to cancel after one night. Our room was incredibly dated (including the comforter) circa 1965. However what was worst was the mysterious white stain on the cloth bed post above my head. Needless to say we were not impressed with this hotel at all, and were lucky enough to be able to check in to Novotel the next day.

  • Disliked — lack of cleanliness
