I have stayed at this hotel several times and I can for sure say I have never been pleased. The hotel is outdated and the staff is very rude. At least two of the receptionists has made me feel not welcome at all. The way they greet you is totally unacceptable and they seem suspicious and do not believe you if you complain about something. A third one has a really bad I-couldn't-care-less attitude and doesn't even bother trying to hide it. Rooms are small and simple with a strange half 'n half bathroom, the sink midway between the wardrobe and shower/toilet. Mouldy shower curtain with spots. Well assorted breakfast in a not so delicate restaurant. Food is not changed during the hours of brekfast so expect dry slices of meat, cold eggs and dry cheese. Their assortment of organic food which they announce is not complete so it's impossible having an all-organic breakfast like you are supposed to according to their announcement. Other than that the hotel is a bit from the airport and far from Trondheim city, located in small town Stjørdal.

“Acceptable but very basic”
I would rate this a 2** hotel - acceptable but nothing more.
Rooms are big enough and clean, but very basic. Bathroom was very old and needed refurbishment - but clean and functional. I thought breakfast was really okay : a lot of choice and all very fresh.
It's okay to sleep a few nights on a business trip, I guess, but it definitely is not a fancy hotel.
Hotel is still about 7 km from Vaernes airport and a cab will cost you about 13 EUR.
Trondheim is about 30km away - cab fare about 100 EUR (single trip).
However you can easily get to Trondheim by train or express bus (SAS Flybusses) for about 9 EUR.

“Not worth the money”
I payed 1295 NOK for a single room for one night at this hotel.
The room was old style with a verry old bathrom.
The brekfast was boring and not verry appealing.
Difficult to find parking. There where not many parking spaces nearby the hotel.
