With the name "hostel" attached to it, I was a bit suspicious of staying here....but I had a lovely cabin with comfortable mattrress and great heating as it is starting to get cold in Norway at night.
Reception area personel were very helpful and kind and I would definitely stay here again if I am in Gjovik in the future.
For those used to staying in 3 star hotels, make sure you stay in a cabin and not the hostel part.

stayed here for the norway rally 09 we found the cabin which sleeps 6 very good the main part of the hostel was very clean and warm the staff were very helpfull,breakfast was good with a good range.there was lots to do and you are not far from the town,there is a ski slope but they do not hire any gear .
