We are a family of parents and two young adults and we stayed at Vesterland this summer .The site is nice. Our cabin was very well situated but we saw several others we would not have wanted to stay in .The largest cabins are sold as sleeping 5/6 people but they are pretty small .One bedroom had twin beds which couldn't be pushed together as they have fixed a table between the beds ( not ideal for a couple !).The second room has small bunkbeds .Now ... if you had any more people in your party they would have to sleep on short sofas !
Good points : Nice setting / good walks /log fires /small shop /there are lots of places within easy reach /motor boats can be hired nearby for about £30 per half day .Vesterland offers free internet access for short periods however when we were there the computer was often out of order .
Less good points : No kettle / The company charge for every activity they possible can eg swimming pool / squash( pay by the half hour and when your time is up the lights go out ! / even table tennis is at a charge .This results in the pool being mainly empty and also the sports centre is frequently empty .We booked directly with Vesterland but when we arrived we were asked what rate we had been given so I suggest youask for the best rate they can offer when booking !
The restaurant is quite but expensive and take away pizza 's are £18 each !
