In the lovely little secluded village of Solvorn, along the Lustrafiord, is a lovely accomadation, the Eplet Bed and Apple. We had a double wilth a beautiful view of the fiord overlooking the village- but ALL of the rooms have the same beautiful view. It happened to be raining the first two of the three days that we stayed with our wonderful host Trond, but we still had a wonderful adventure. Trond has great ideas for activity on rainy days. Day one we walked on a glacier, only about a 40 minute drive, and on our second day we crossed the fiord on the ferry to see the stave church, Ornes, and biked the romantic road (in the rain) to the second highest waterfall in Norway. Bikes at Eplet are free to use and Trond has a drying room, or a clothes line in sunny weather- as well as laundry facilities for wet and dirty clothes.
Check out the website and you will see all that Eplet has to offer. It is a stop in the fiord country of Norway that you do not want to miss!
