I am very impressed with my stay at the Sunnfjord Hotel. The staff was helpful, attentive, friendly and kind. The breakfast is award-winning – the best in the whole west region of Norway, and the hotel has great ammenities, such as swimming pool and spa area. And the beds are sooo comfortable! I couldn't be happier with this hotel, and I can give it my warmest recommendations.

We stayed here on Friday 29th July. We needed to stay in Førde and as the town only has 2 hotels, this one and the Quality Hotel, the Rica seemed like the best choice.

The public areas of the hotel were fairly modern and fresh but when we arrived at our room, we soon realised that this is did not extend to our room. The room was small but for one night it was fine. The room was very warm and did not have any form of air conditioning. The room also had a mini bar but it was empty.

As we arrived late, we decided to dine in the hotels restaurant. We felt the buffet was the best value for money but the food was terrible. Most of the hot food was luke warm and when i asked the staff for some hot food, they just simply re-fried everything, which made the chicken and the fried very oily and burnt.

We have booked to stay here again in 2 weeks time but only as the Quality Hotel is fully booked.

No service minded staff, some of the people in my group got sick from the dinner buffet, at night i was disturbed by noises from the elevator. Misleading information from the hotel concerning what was included in our group package and what was at our own expense.
