There is a movie theme going on here, with rooms named after well-loved films, a massive, ancient projector in-situ in the lobby and so forth. 24hr reception was attached to a very small bar. The location is right on the water, very peaceful and scenic whilst being one or two blocks away from the Norwegian drinking action. The buffet dinner was OK, worth it if your trip isn't all about food. If it is, there are plenty of better restaurants less than a minute walk away. The breakfast was very good and the coffee machine in the restaurant made a pretty good espresso, for a robot.
The rooms are tiny, but thoughtfully laid out and decorated. They did the best they could renovating an old hotel I feel.
There was even an old fisherman selling the catch of the day from his boat right across the footpath. That is some charming seaside action, my friends.
A separate lounge area next to the lobby was comfortable. The friendly staff, location, quirky decor and comfortable lobby are reason enough for me to recommend this hotel highly.
