The Park Hotell overlooks the enormously ugly central square in the pleasant modern Finnmark town of Alta. Parking is in the main square, the reception will give you a permit. The Hotel itself is small and a bit quirky. The rooms large, clean and bland with a hint of student dormitory at a multiple of the price -- although there is that view of that square. Wifi was good and free. Breakfast adequate. Stayed a Friday night, and although noise normally does not bother me was woken by enormous commotion as the pub in the center of "that" square shut around 3am and every drunk in Finnmark decided to sing, shout and break bottles. Poor value for the krone even by Norwegian standards.

The hotel is situated in the main square of the modern and strange town center of Alta. The hotel has good nice rooms (pretty large), and the breakfast is very good (and they also serve a small evening meal for free on weekdays). Free Wi-Fi. I have stayed there on several occasions on work related travel, and I always return. There is nothing fancy about the hotel, but it is a comfortable place to stay.

The breakfast and evening meal is exelent. The staff is very serviceminded and the hotel is very clean.

an excellent location in Alta square surrounded by shops etc etc.It is a very enviromentally concious non-smoking hotel, it is reached from the street level by lift to reception where one is greeted by friendly staff who are happy to fill one in on the many activities in and around Alta. The smoke-free en-suite bedroom are delightful, there is also a sauna, library, children's play area, plus an upstairs lounge overlooking Alta. A hugh breakfast is available in a delightful setting and a light supper is also included in the price, certainly as an experienced traveller I find it great value!
