We had a companied family vacation package for a reasonable price and it included a night at this hotel. The standard family room with our own baby sleeper was very tight for four of us. However, we didn't expect anything else. The room hasn't seen any upgrades from 80's. Especially a toilet felt old. Saying that, it was surprisingly clean there and the room main door was the only one that was badly worn out.

The breakfast wasn't that great in its variety but all food tasted fresh. Special thanks to three sorts of cakes. I tasted only a plum cake it was a very pleasant surprise!

We had also dinner there. The red house wine was very good considering the price range. Kids had their own small buffet with all the basics. It included bit hard chicken nuggets but they were kids' favorites anyway! Good value.
I tried smoked reindeer pasta and it was one of the best pasta dishes I've had. Very full of fat but who cares!
The most memorable thing however was our waitress Maria who was very lively, positive and natural. Never before I've seen a Finnish waitress of such a high level!

The fourth rating point was earned by extras such as variety of loanable board games down at the lobby and especially by small gestures of child-friendliness. Our kids got a wee bag of candies and rubber lizzard toys (with one extra after the wee one lost her first). They sure will remember this hotel for a long.

Hotel Rantasipi Airport is excellent choice if you e.g. are travelling by air and need a place to sleep overnight. The hotel offers free shuttle transport from and to the airport. We have stayed in this hotel several times and will do it in the future too. Rooms are basic ones with all necessary equipment. Nothing luxurious, but excellent sleep quality with pretty good breakfast which is offered as early as 4 am.!

However, hotel's reservation center has annoying habit to require your credit card number to keep your reservation alive after 6 pm. This procedure is uncommon habit in Finland. Instead when making reservation, call or email direct to the hotel. But, if calling, avoid rush hours or you will experience rude service from busy, not-so-customer-service-oriented young ladies of the front desk.

Shopping center Jumbo lies close to the hotel, but finding your way to the other side of busy road needs special skills of orienteering...

I stayed here for one night because I got an early flight. It got free airport transfer for about every 15 minutes and takes about 15 minutes. It was a basic hotel with an out dated style. Room was simple but clean. Shower was good. It got early breakfast for early flyers. Breakfast was simple but was't bad. It is a good choice of airport hotel.

This hotel is wearn down, has a 80's look. Bathrooms are small and out of date. Beds are normal. Babybeds are normal woodwn beds also, not travel kinds like usually at hotels. Hotel offeres an ok place to sleep when you need one night before/after flight. Location is good bethween airport and big shopping center. Dont think we'll be here again.
