Still remember my short, but very impressive timebeeing in this hotel..really amazing place to take care of your health - massage, sauna, swimming pool..We got a pleasure to stay periodically in the indoor and outdoor pools ( it was a December..), then made a massage and transferred ourselves through sauna to a coctail bar..Near hotel was a nice track for skeeing, where some people spend a lot of time also...Remember the room was not so big, but to stay there for sleeping was O.K...So, if you come there not in a 'hot' period of time, means, not so many people will stay there, you can get a real pleasure from the different points of your activity....

Very-very basic room resembling hostel or camp. There was no soap in bathroom but an old broken bottle of some strange substance instead. No fridge or mini bar. No A/C.They say Imatran Kylpylä Spa is a 5* hotel - it should be a joke! Swimming complex is very small.

We stayed at this hotel in June and were very lucky with the weather. The place is very beautiful - lake, pine trees, sunsets over the lake.
There are different kinds of accommodation - rooms in the main building and suites in bungalows . They have one and two bedroom suites with kitchenettes and private saunas and terraces. All unites look nice and fresh.
We stayed in a two bedroom suite in a 'loft' building - two storey building located higher than the rest of the hotels property and the view was breathtaking - through pine trees one could see the lake. The unit is very spacious - living room with a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, three bathrooms (in each bedroom and by sauna). The terrace is divided to two sections - one with glass screens (absolutely transparent so you actually do not notice the screens - to protect from the wind, rain, snow I suppose), the other - just an open terrace.
Pools\spa, restaurants and café are in the main building.
The pool\spa is actually a little aqua park with most of existing water attractions.
So everything was nice and convenient in the hotel, staff – friendly and helpful.
The only small ‘minus’ was breakfast – not a big selection.

I stayed in Imatran Kylpyla only 1 weekend, but could relax there as if I had 1-week vacation. Nice spacious room, partly designed as cabin, visit of pools and saunas included in accommodation, splendid surroundings with forest and lake. I would recommend to take a bike and ride around, even to the center of Imatra along picturesque banks of Vuoksa river. Though bicycles hotel has for rent are far from ideal.
In June restaurant was under renovation, everything looked a bit tangled and not so well organized, but still it was working and the breakfast itself was rich and with lots of Finnish dairy products.
