We travelled with my mum and dad and my mother-in-law who are all over 70. The reception staff were very helpful and caring.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the location was very central to Herning town.

The breakfast was extensive and very good quality, there was something for everyone.

Be warned; if you find free earplugs on your bed, when you check in, you can rest assured that you've got one of the noisy rooms at this hotel. I did, and I must admit I was a bit surprised how the noise from the nearby boulevard could make it's way to 7th floor - but it could. And the hotel has a very poor isolation against noise.

Having said all that, it's a nice hotel. It's very clean, the rooms are of a decent size even though you can tell by the furniture and layout that it's a 80's conference hotel. The bed is good, there is free wireless, and both the gym and the breakfast restaurant are impecable.

With a very convenient location in downtown Herning it's definately one of the more attractive choices of hotels in Herning.

I stay at this hotel frequently on business. The hotel has a great location... everyone must go to the steak house across the road, it's £50 for a steak but worth every penny.

The hotel is typical scandic, free wireless, good tv channel choice, good fitness suite.

The only downside to this hotel is the rooms can be a little bit cold, my windows were completely shut but the draft was still coming in at it was -16 last night. The noise is also quite bad probably due to the windows not shutting properlly.

I always try to book here though as its much better than the alternatives.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times this year. Good points: staff are friendly: rooms are a decent size; shower has good water pressure/temperature; beds are comfortable; free wireless internet although you need to get a login code and password from reception; the fitness suite is clean and bright with good equipment - 2 treadmills, bike, elliptical trainer, free weights, weights machines; exercise mats & balls etc; restaurant food is good and pretty reasonably priced for Denmark; breakfast is the usual Scandic buffet so you should be able to find something you like; the hotel is within easy walking distance of the cinema and plenty of shops and restaurants - try the Charolais-kroen steakhouse just across the road!. Bad points: no tea and coffee making facilities in the room unless you pay for a suite; the bus station is directly behind the hotel and in the cold weather the buses sit with their engines running in the early hours of the morning which can be pretty noisy. Try to get an even-numbered room on one of the higher floors and it will be significantly quieter. Avoid 1809 and 1909 - they are too close to the lift mechanism which again is noisy.
