I stayed here on business a couple of times.

The hotel has a good location for getting to the local restaurants and the staff are very friendly... unfortunately there is not much else to say.

The rooms are very very dated, a bin lorry turns up at 05:00 - 06:00 every morning, the rooms are quite dirty compared to what i am used to...and last time I stayed i got bitten all over by something.

There is better alternatives.

Certainly not UK 4 star standard! I booked a single room - clean and functional, but very basic. More on a par with a youth hostel than a business class hotel. Staff were very efficient and helpful, breakfast good. Supper in the main restaurant was plentiful but overcooked.

Not many hotel options in Herning, but I would think twice about staying there again. Not of the usual Best Western standard.

After staying one night at Hotel Eyde I strongly advise visitors to select another place to stay.

Paying 875 DKK (110 Euro/220 usd) will get you a tiny room with moist climate and both the noice from the street along with a fan on the building kept me up for almost the entire night.

When the firealarm went off at 22 o'clock and all the visitors gathered in the reception apparently nothing was wrong. However it was quite frightening to realize that my friends on the 2nd floor didn't hear the alarm as it was out of order!

My bedlamp didn't function and honestly I find the four stars (Danish) utterly ridiculous. Clearly a bias critic award.

This review however is also bias - but advising visitors to not be fooled by the promises and fancy pictures which must be taken somewhere else.

I will never again set foot on Hotel Eyde that's for sure.
