Upon arrival at Ballerup S-train I decided to take a taxi to the hotel. The local driver had never heard of the place, and no wonder; the hotel (or more of a hostel) was a 70's concrete bunker turned into a hostel in the middle of nowhere. Most guests seemed to be local athletes training in the nearby sports park. The neighbourhood was frankly creepy and I never felt comfortable there.

The staff was friendly but unprofessional. My reservation had been changed to include 5 nights instead of 6 for a week before the trip began. They did not know it and seemed to have a problem with it. There was no food or snacks to be bought nearby at around noon when I arrived. The room key I got did not work, and when I finally got to my room it quite strongly smelled like poop there. The stench came from the bathroom and didn't go away during the two days I stayed in the hotel.

The ways to get to Copenhagen were a bus that the receptionist would take about 20 minutes (took about 45 minutes) and the S-train that took about 40 minutes but was almost a kilometre's walk away. Taking taxi from this far was quite expensive.

The cleanliness of the room was ok, but the smell was terrible. The location and the little mistakes the staff made were annoying. I decided to leave after two days and couldn't of course get the 3 remaining nights reimbursed.

Rooms are very basic: bed, TV, small desk area, area to hang clothes and an en-suite shower room.

No air-conditioning in the rooms but you can open the window all the way.

The hotel provides a paid-for breakfast buffet which I didn't use during my stay. There is no restaurant although crisps, chocolate and cans of drink can be bought from the vending machines in the foyer. There's a pertol station, McDonalds and an Italian restaurant a short walk away - though the Italian is closed on a Sunday.

Wireless internet is provided by Wayport.dk and costs 75DKr for access over a 24 hour period.

This hotel is near the business park in Ballerup, a short walk from Malmparken S-Tog station.

I booked this hotel via the internet.
It was one of my worst experience to get inside the hotel.
I reached the hotel at midnight and the hotel gate was looked? Wow!!
I was suprised unfortunately i was coming from a Euro country and did not have any coins to make a call. Had to wave for a taxi at late hours to get some coin to call the hotel receptions and stuff . When i called them then they told me how to get in the hotel with all the automated system booking like an atm maching with key drop point.
I was suprised at first.
They gave me room 22 . with the key having been droped at the machine that i gave my card details.
When i entered the room 22 . the card did not open the room ? astonished eh.. so had to go outside and ask someone to contact someone that could come all the way at 1 am to get me a room.
Nonetheless the next day they compensated me with 3 breakfast meal for having some trouble on the day of arrival.
The rooms was good . Location pretty OK for ballerup.
Everything else was ok.
Just to make sure that you reach the hotel before the gates closed otherwise need to call them before

This hotel is great.

It is a budget hotel so no minbar, phone or trouser press but we had a great bed, flat screen TV and lovely wet room / bath room.

Everything was clean and neat and tidy - the corridors look like uni halls of residence and the staff were very friendly and english speaking.

Great place to crash for the night.
