seduced by the lovely Campanile at Riom, on our journey home we decided to use the Limoges South Campanile. First room offered stank of cigarettes. 2nd room we took, due to long day driving, lateness of hour and terrible weather conditions.
There was no tea, coffee or soap in room. Ground floor room, no air conditioning and heater was broken. Not possible to leave window open for fresh air, as there was no security system, and window faced the road. Sweltered all night with window open 2". Chair in room was so disgustingly stained I didnt want to sit on it. Blanket was dark blue and scummy. Curtains and bedspreads could do with a wash - or preferably chucked in a bin. Waitress was surly and obviously expecting an early night when we arrived in restaurant. To be fair the food wasnt bad and although overpriced in my opinion, it was OK. Decoration in room was dirty, nicotine shade of magnolia. The whole place needs a damn good refurb. I was so angry as they charged the same here as the Riom site, which was spotless, new and a pleasure to stay in.

Arguably one of the easiest Campanile's to get to, just off the motorway but no messing about in an industrial estate. Here you're really out in the country with space to wander and the traffic noise is minimal and non-existent in your room. Everything else is just like other Campaniles so don't expect surprises. The staff are the usual courteous and helpful selves.
