“A cheap hotel for Disneyland/Paris Centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

we stayed at hotel campanile for 4 nights in June 2009. The whole holiday cost £440 including flights so it was a hell of a lot less then staying in central paris or disneyland!

Very little to bussy st george, one supermarket and a few pubs and restaurants. Sounds daft to say this but the menu's in the village are in french so you might need to take a phrase book with you, i have a basic understanding of french and blagged my way through most of it except the turkish restaurant where we had chicken, rice, yoghurt and toast....all on the same plate, very bizarre ... or they could have been playing a game on the brits and see what cocncoction we'd eat lol!
The restaurant behind the train station - on the corner (i forget its name) was by far the best yum yum)
the chinese restaurant in the middle of the other two was nice, you might aswell eat from the buffer then off the menu - you get more for your money and all the locals seemed to love it so if its good enough for them!

The train station is a 5 minute walk away from the hotel and its only about 10 euros a day to paris/disneyland for a return ticket each.

Bog standard budget hotel, double bed, kettle, coffee, tv, decent shower - not much more you really need!

Reception were helpful with flyers and times for trains and telling us which stations to stop at but when we got at the train station we realised they run every few minutes and you're never waiting for long.

I'm a typical townie who gets a bit intimidated when going to a city, I always think someone is going to mug me or stab me (thanks for drilling that into me nan lol) so i was very conscious about my handbag and belongings on the train and the streets but there was very little to be worried of, everyone kept themselves to themselves and other then a few children coming around begging for money no-one ever got hassled (i copied the french and pretended i ddnt see them and they let you be - if you give them money a dozen other children appear with a plastic cup)

There's not much I can really say about the hotel because we werent there for very long, obviously you're Paris you're out and about sight seeing, if you want a luxury hotel then stay in the city centre, if you wanna go on the cheap then this is ideal especially if you have kids as paris is very very expensive!!
We ate once in the centre of paris and it cost over 100 euros just for a main course, a coke and a beer where as we were paying 30 euros in bussy st georges - again it depends on what sort of experience you're after. My partner proposed to me at the eiffel tower so i became a skin flint and saved more money for my engagement ring haha :)

Ooh one other thing i learnt at disneyland - when you buy your tickets there's an option to but a ticket for the other park for the following day, it saves around 40 euros so might be worth spreading your day out over two days and seeing everything rather then trying to cram it all in a day

“Nice accomodation close to Paris Disney Resorts”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

Very convenient for a good value accomodation if enjoying Disney attractions. It is located in a easy to reach location. The breakfast and dinner were of very good quality. One of the few Campanile hotels that can accomodate a family of four, with two children. The location shown in the map tool is not accurate. The hotel is placed very close to junction 12 of A4 (Avd. Marie Curie, Bussy Saint-Georges), visible from the motroway on your left if traveling to Reims.

Room Tip: Small but clean. Good for a couple of days.

“Great for disneyland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011 via mobile

We stayed here due to going to disneyland and was very pleased with this hotel.
Rooms are clean, free wifi in the rooms and the breakfast is enough to get your day going.
Hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the train station which is two stops away from Disneyland.

“Never to be repeated the worst hotel i have stayed in!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2011

Having read reasonable reviews i was more than disspapointed at this hotel. There were a few positives but the experience spoiled those.

1. Free wifi - excellent
2. Breakfast - reasonable and bright and airy dining area with a good quality of food
3. Staff polite
4. Free parking
5. Proximity to Disney if driving
6. Comfortable beds

Negative

1. The general condition of the rooms
2. 1st room Disgusting.... arrived to full waste paper bin overflowing with some other guests rubbish
3. Tap broken on the bath no way of turning on the water
4. The thickest limescale i have ever seen on a shower head
5. general dirt on the walls
6. Extractor fan in the bathroom thick with about an inch of dust
7. No grout between the floor tiles in the bathroom
8. No plugs in the bathroom sink or bath
9. Towel stained
10.Dirty stained blanket on pull out bed and missing slats on the base

We arrived late into the evening the kids were exhausted and fell asleep in minutes otherwise i would have insisted on a move that night.

Reported to reception in the morning (Julie) asked for a move to another room showed photos of the condition of the room via camera phone. Asked to be moved to another room....she asked her colleague (manager) who said NO the faults would be fixed during the day while we were out.

We proceeded to have breakfast which was more than adequate.

On return to our room some of the faults had been rectified bin empty dirty blanket removed tap was in pieces. We were then phoned and told we were being moved to another room i can only assume because the tap was unrepairable instantly as it was totally snapped off.
The senior member of staff was more apologetic and did offer us the facilities to shower in a different room.whilst we awaited for our other room to be cleaned and be available.

Room 2

1. bathroom had the mouldiest ceiling i have ever seen with damp spots all over the ceiling.
2. Floor as other room
3. mould and black silicone all around the bath
4 . Horrible stains on the walls of the room.

I have photographs of all the faults mailnly due to disbelief this was the standard of accomodation .... Now no staff were rude or unpleasant but clearly this is a hotel with a high turnover of guests as are many other hotels in the region due to the proximity of Disneyland ... believe me i have been to the area 13 times now maybe 13 was unlucky but any of the other accomodation i have stayed at has been of a much better standard.

clearly there needs to be some sort of maintainance programme where rooms are left vacant on occasion to have a proper deep clean.... i would rate it much lower than any of the budget uk chains .... i refused to bath or shower the children as i felt they would be safer dirty than in that bathroom. They loved the next hotel we stayed at wheret hey felt comfortable to use the facilities and that says something for a 7 and 9 year old to be so aware of the poor cleanliness.

If only they could replicate the general condition of the downstairs area upstairs in their rooms

“Disney on a budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2011

We stayed in a quad room for 4 nights late Feb..booked along with flights through the easyjet site...Paid 50 euros a night for the room, that's about 12 euros per person per night.
We bought some supplies at the local supermarket and with the coffee making facilities in the room we were able to make up a flask each day. New coffee supplies were delivered every morning with the maid service, which, I cannot fault.. Towels and bedding were spotless. Loads of piping hot water and a powerful hair-dryer in the bathroom..which also had complimentary soaps and shower gel..The TV only had French channels and on the day we were leaving there was a delivery of new plasma TVs for the rooms.. a sign they strive to improve..We did not eat in the hotel but chose to eat in The Duplex restaurant nr the station. 55 euros for a main course and drinks we also ate in the mac donalds one night after getting back from Paris.
The train station is 10 mins walk from the hotel we bought a Carnet de Billete for Chessy and the fare worked out at 1.60 euro per journey slightly less than if you purchased single fares daily. For our trip into Paris we bought Mobilis tickets for adults at 12.50 each which could be used for the day on the train and the metro. The children were sold Carnet Jove tix at a reduced rate. We purchased Disney tix of the French Disney site giving the Campanille address during booking and then printed the entrance tix off at home. We had no problem with this although they do ask for photo id at the park entrance and at 29 euro pp a huge saving.. Disney on a budget This hotel served its purpose and I was very pleased with the service given..If I had to pick one fault ,the grouting in the bathroom did have some mildew which with a bit of bleach could easily be rectified. But I would very happily return to this hotel.
