“Excellent stay, near to Disney”

This hotel is a little isolated so I dont recommend staying here if you dont have a car. It is close to a pizza restaurant and a Buffalo Grill. On arrival at the car park, you go through one barrier, which then closes and you have to take a ticket from the machine before the second barrier will open. This ticket then has to be validated at reception before you leave in the morning. You then go through the same procedure to get out.

There was planty of parking and there are luggage trolleys in the entrance. Reception was very large, with lots of sofas, a football table and two computers for guests use. There is also a small kids corner with a games console and toys for the kids.

The receptionist was welcoming, but although her name badge indicated she spoke english, it was very sparse and she mostly spoke in fast french and we didnt really understand most of what she said to us. It didnt really matter, but we would of liked to have known hat the times were for breakfast etc., and it was hard to find the lift as the one near reception doesn't go to the third floor where our room was located.

We had booked a superior room. There are 3 types of room, standard, superior and executive. The superior room we had was of a good standard. Separate toilet, wardrobe area, bathroom with huge shower cubicle (no bath). Bathroom had a good hairdyer, bright lights for doing make up etc and a plug for straighteners. There was a small fridge, a kettle and a safe and each day a bottle of complimentary water was put in the fridge.

The bed was comfortable, with a quilt and nice white linen (very clean - I always inspect on arrival, I am a bit OCD) There is also a sofabed which is a very neat two single bed affair. You can pull them out individually, so its great if you only have one child, you still have a chair, but on the otherhand, if you have two kids, they each have their own individual beds so there will be no arguing. Also good if your kids are opposite sex. The sofa bed was already made up when I pulled it out. It had sheets and a thick blanket.

There was a standard hotel desk with the tv on and also a swing out section. The room was serviced nicely every day and everything replenished (tea, coffee and toiletries etc).

We had breakfast each morning and it was very nice. There was a hot selection - sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, mushrooms and potatoes and a cold continental selection - meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs etc., There was a selection of fresh prepared fruits, cereals, plain and chocolate croissants, lots of different kinds of breads, waffles, pancakes, cakes and a fridge with different types of yoghurts and compotes. There was a self serve orange/apple juice machine and you could have tea/coffe/hot chocolate. The staff were very welcoming.

Overall a very pleasant stay and we would definately stay here again when in the area. Its only 10 miles to Disneyland and an easy drive.

“Christmas visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

I have stayed at Novotel hotels before, this one, I am happy to say is one of the best. New, clean, and excellent location for Disney. The staff were all very nice and helpful, the breakfast was very good.
My only fault with it is the double bed is a small size double, smaller than the other Novotel double bedrooms. However, we had a lovely stay and plan on going again!

“Good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

I stayed at this hotel on the way to Champagne region. The room is calm while being located close to the motorway. Water pot equiped in the room. There are wide variety of wines at the bar that can be taken out to the room. Secure car park. Staff are helpful. Good stay even for leisure.

“Clean modern hotel close to Disneyland Paris.”

As others have mentioned, this hotel really is in the middle of nowhere but is excellent value and is very convenient for Disneyland Paris.

Since we have had kids we have tended to stay in more and more Novotels the world over as they tend to provide the facilities we value in a modern setting and at a reasonable rate. This hotel is no exception. It seems to have been newly built and is situated on a industrial estate next to the motorway, around 10 miles from Disneyland Paris. Our room was very clean and fairly spacious with good free wifi coverage and flat screen tv. Rather than provide a minibar there is an empty fridge which you can fill with drinks bought at reception - they have several are fridges with soft and alcoholic drinks. There is a small but decent gym (with technogym equipment) at the hotel which happened to be next door to our room - very convenient. They even have an outdoor pool.

Apart from breakfast which was the usual continental arrangement and was perfectly adequate we didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. There is a pizza/pasta restaurant opposite the hotel but apart from this there is very little else in the area. We opted to eat at Disney Village which is pricey but there is good choice..

There are no public transport options for the hotel, the nearest station (st Georges Bussy) is 5km away so a car is essential.

For the rate we got we were very pleased with this hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we will be using this hotel every time we visit Disney from now on. Incidentally, I have found that booking through Expedia is almost always cheaper than going direct to Accor's website, this is something that Accor need to rectify.

“Get your breakfast early or not at all...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

Our second visit to this hotel - there are Novotels and there are Novotels in France...the more frequented one is, the less the standard of cleanliness and customer service is offered. This Novotel is well frequented because of it's proximity to Disneyland. Smoke-stenched room, the French do not enforce the non-smoking rule in non-smoking rooms. Bathroom not cleaned properly - thick mound of body hair blocking the plug hole - was bad enough but our experience of breakfast...or lack of it...was a total joke. The long and short of it is if you are resident at the same time as a coach-load or two of Spanish tourists then get up early for your breakfast as they are like a plague of locusts (have encountered this before...). We wandered in to eat just after they had departed - , no yoghurts, no bread, no croissants, cold meats more like shredded scraps - no doubt as much went into the ladies handbags as into their bottomless-pits for stomachs. Staff were clearing up the horrendous mess they'd left in their wake and were not replenishing the food even though 40 minutes left until supposedly breakfast was finished. Had paid for breakfast but we only managed to scrape together two coffees and some warm, watery orange juice for the kids. Disgraceful for Novotel standards. Last visit from us.

One last note: don't bother with Disneyland Paris - 2nd visit in ten years and saw evidence everywhere of deterioration, only thing not changed was the appalling French attitude towards foreign visitors - in short they don't like us. Husband said 'told you so' - next time Orlando for sure hands down. I suggest we foreigners all avoid Disneyland Paris and let it slide into oblivion where it belongs. That'll teach them.
