My family and i have just came back from spending 3 days in Paris and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We found this hotel via an auction site, the auction site had advertised that the hotel was branded a "4 star hotel", so i thought that it would be a lovely hotel. I have stayed at 4 starred hotels before so my expectations were of somewhat quality. But unfortunately that was not that case and i do not agree that this hotel is at a 4 star quality.
Upon arriving we found out that breakfast was not included and we were to pay 5 euros per person and 8 euros per night for secure underground parking but there was onsite street parking for free. Initially my thoughts of the hotel from the outside was poor as the hotel paint was a little faded and emergency exit starwells rusty and damaged (looking unsafe). But located in a decent area of Rosny.
Positives:-
* Decent area,clean streets and surroundings, full of greenery & bird life
* Quiet area, no traffic noise
* Easy to get to from the main road
* Large shopping complex close by Rosny2 or Centre Commercial Rosny (very nice shops, bars & restaurants. Expensive though!)
* Ample restaurants available in the surrounding area
* Hotel Lobby was modern & clean
* Reception attendants were extremely helpful, polite & spoke very good english
* Secure underground parking with lift to hotel floors (easy for baggage) with ample parking
* Room furniture was good, flat screen TV, 2 chairs & the double bed was very comfortable
* Had access to own balcony
* Decent breakfast with baguettes, crossiants, a selection of spreads, toast, ham, cheese, dried fruits, boiled eggs, small sausages, fruit, yoghurt, little cakes, muffins, scrolls, orange & apple juice, coffie machine & cerals.
* Train station 15mins walk away from hotel.
Negatives:-
* Room was small for 3 people (2 adults & small child)
* Balcony floor extremely damaged
* Airconditioner was extremely dusty and dirty
* No windows (only balcony door) so the room would get very hot and stuff throughout the night as the airconditioner only sometimes worked.
* Airconditioner didnt work properly (obiviously from last comment)
* Bathroom was not maintained well, toilet seat broken, bathroom sink chipped & hairdryer was very old
* Hallway carpets stained & walls dirty
* Room doors damaged with scratch marks all over and our door didnt close properly
* Lock on door was broken or not working & there was no security chain (so having a young child we had to block the doors so he couldnt just wander off)
* No free Wi-Fi (6 euros - 1hr or 9 euros - 2hrs)
* Hotel restaurant & bar was closed for the whole week (definitely not convenient after a very long travelling day & you can't relax at your hotel with a beverage or a small quick meal)
If your looking for a cheap hotel close to the centre of Paris, has a train station close by. Then this would be a hotel for you. Would i stay there again? No, i would not unfortunately.
