Where do I start. We were travelling to the south of France and were looking for a cheap stop-over on the way so after searching the net opted for Hotel Stars, Rennes.
The hotel looks like a cross between a grey rectangular prison and a 1960's cruise-liner. Indeed it is fashioned like a ship including small cabins. If you have been on a cross chanel ferry you wont be disapointed. The bathroom / toilet is tiny. The bedroom is tiny. The hotel is adjacent to a busy road so lorries trundle past all day. The hotel is 'nestled' in an industrial estate which is handy if you want some building materials or car parts whilst on your stay.
In the adjacent car park two camper vans were parked each with a 'working' lady inside (with a steady stream of customers). Not the sort of place I'd want to be.
We checked in and within 2 hours of staying there checked out. I would happily lose my nights booking to stay somewhere else thats quiet, clean and sleeze-free.
Of course if you don't belive me try it. I won't be going there again.
