This is my favourite b and b ever. Fabulous rooms, beautiful breakfast and a charming welcome always from Jan. A couple of good pubs within walking distance. Close to Goodwood. All in all, perfect! Absolutely love the place, which is why I return every year for Glorious Goodwood.

Everything one could wish for in a B&B - and more besides: welcoming pot of tea, beautifully decorated and appointed room, fresh flowers, complimentary toiletries, lovely breakfast including home made marmalade, fresh-pressed orange juice, tasty full English.......

For evening dinner, The Blacksmith's Arms, 5 mins by car with good value food and a friendly atmosphere. Easy canal walk into Chichester and convenient bus journey back to Spire Cottage.

An amazing room, fab location, warm welcome, a great breakfast and excellent value for money - what more could you want?

We booked the Spire at very short notice and still received a welcoming email from Jan prior to our arrival. On our arrival, we received a warm welcome from Jan, along with a pot of tea and the most amazing home made millionaire short bread, brought to our room. Our room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was again clean and functional, but with nice touches like towelling robes and beautiful bathroom products. Also when looking for somewhere to eat, Jan recommened a great pub a couple of miles away (Blacksmith Arms) which had a lovely atmosphere and great, local produce. The breakfast was really good - great quality ingredients as well as homemade jam and marmalade. We would highly recommend every aspect of our stay at Spire Cottage and are already talking about going back another weekend.
