Went to this hotel in the end of 2005.
Thought it was a good price for an apart hotel, and would be able to cook our own food.
When we got there, we found that the kitchen unit is not fully functional. Just a sink and fridge. The gas hob was not connected as the hotel did not get the license to have it as a proper Apart Hotel.
The staff speak enough English for non-Portuguese speakers to get buy.
Breakfast is given for free in their breakfast room, and there is a very good selection of things to eat. (I loved the scrambled eggs and fresh fruit!)
The rooms were okay. Some of the wood-work was worn or had evidence of damp or termites. The view to the beach is distorted by the big electricity cables running infront of the hotel (airbrushed out of their photos...)
It is basic, but good accomodation. they do have broadband access, but it is slow - and was prone to breaking from the heat.
But it is also expensive!
Lots of the floor tiles were broken in the rooms, and the water filters did not always work.
The A/C units were a blessing - but noisy, and just in the bedroom.
They have a balcony/bar area, and a sauna. But the sauna took a long time to heat up, and eveything just seemed so deserted.
They have a small car-park, which the attendants/bell-boys will open for you, and will help you with your shopping (if you need to pop to the local Extra for some food)
Certainly not the worst hotel, but at least the staff are nice and polite and eager to please everyone...
