I have stayed at the metro several times, being an older but renovated hotel. The price has been very reasonable compared to other available accomodation. Some of the rooms do vary slightly in quality, however have been consistently clean, comfortable and spacious with a comfortable queen bed. The rooms over lookingthe river have superb views and a bonus for the price of the accomodation, however found the rooms on highway side very noisy (and no water views).The rooms have tea/coffee making facilites and fridge.

The reception and wait staff are lovely and always helpful. The free parking is also another bonus, easily accessable from the side street (not secure parking but no issues to date). There is a bar at the hotel which is convenient for the guests.

The restaurant food, specialising in meat and potatoes dishes, has been often less than good. The food is edible (sometimes just), but not something I would recommend, and quite expensive given the quality of the food. This lets an otherwise pleasant stay down. A little bit more attention in the kitchen would give this hotel a better rating.

The hotel was clean, the rooms were spacious but the WiFi was wanting.

I left my reservations for Perth accommodation to the night prior. Not a good idea and finished staying at the Metro. Signage off the main road showing where to park was not good.
Reception excellent. I was annoyed and vocal at having to pay a credit card surcharge of 2% (I think) on the room tariff of $249.00 for a standard room. I have NEVER had to pay such a charge before and this leaves distaste. Room 4/10. Very noisy A/C and facing the road (noisy).
Best part about the overnight visit was their restaurant (a steakhouse). Fabulous food - a little high in pricing, but well worth it. Wait staff pathetic. Food - 9/10 Service - 3/10 Cost - 7/10.
Value for money - not really, but was beggars choice.

The rooms are spacious,very clean with huge comfortable beds, balconies with a stunning view on the awesome skyline and Perth water. The staff is very friendly, breakfast is nice too. The only disadvantage is that the hotel is quite far away from the centre. However, Swan River is only 5 mins down the road if you want to go for a walk or a run.
