Stayed for one night last week as I was attending a meeting in the LBG Management Centre, 5 mins away, picked this hotel for the location and there were leisure facilities too.
The room was functional with a firm but comfortable bed, the bathroom was a little tired and could do with refurbishment i.e. the towel rail and tiling had definately seen better days.
The leisure club was a good plus point, something over the Premier Inn just down the road, the friendly staff were helpful and despite the children having swimming lessons, the pool and facilities were off a good standard.
All of the above is very positive, however the staff on breakfast duty not only required some customer service training but needed a good shake. They were not welcoming, did not have any sense of urgency and clearly did not enjoy what they were doing. If the hotel can't get this right, perhaps they should just adopt a complete breakfast buffet. After the wait, the cooked breakfast was not particularly appealing.
