I have been for four weeks in November in Sea Shells. And every day I enjoyed it more. I really liked the fantastic view from the balcony. The owners (Arlene and Michel) were very helpful and very nice. I really liked to discuss with them. The flat is very comfortable and the housekeepers came every day. Thanks! The short walk (10 - 15 min) to Porth Elizabeth and to the great beaches of Lower Bay and Princess Margaret Bay (or 25 min to Friendship Bay) were my daily training against the Hairoun (local beer). I enjoyed these short walks as you always meet somebody to talk. The people are very friendly and I had an absolutly great vacation. I hope to come back one day.

Fantastic view over Admirality Bay! And such a lovely stay! Besides its excellent value/price ratio, Seashells proved to be a cosy and homely accommodation (just the way my husband and I like it), surrounded by nature. The owners (Arlene and Michael) were very nice and helpful. They answered all our questions, gave us useful advice, made phone calls to help us find a car for a short tour of the island etc. One morning, being the only guests on the premises, we were even spoiled with delicious pancakes freshly cooked by Arlene (or maybe Michael? :)). The apartment was clean and spacious, the kitchen was well-equipped. The location was good, half-way between the harbour (central area) and two beaches (Lower Beach and Princess Margret) - a 10 to 15 min walk from each. Be warned though that you will have to fight many mosquitoes (the mosquito nets were a blessing at night). They only seem to be deterred by skin repellents which have to be applied repeatedly throughout the day. In spite of this, I actually dream of going back to Bequia and its Seashells one day.

The view, the hammock or gallery chairs, the bed, cool breeze, the little things to make a stay comfortable, the pool after the walk from the beach or town and most of all Micheal (owner) and Dorsha (housekeeper) and like minded relaxed neighbours.

The Sea Shells in Bequia is honestly one of the best places we have ever stayed! After doing hours of research on the Internet we finally found the website (bequiaseashells.com) for this amazing and affordable guest house that has alot of character and charm. The three guest rooms are located on the property belonging to a professional architect and his wife who are exceedingly friendly hosts. Each room includes hand-designed decor and furniture, and you will be greeted by find fresh cut flowers placed on your bed and in various locations in the room.

Bath and beach towels are provided complimentary, laundry service is available, and the room will be cleaned and organized to perfection on a regular basis. The fully stocked kitchen includes everything you need to cook complete meals including a toaster, kettle and French coffee press.

We saved a lot of money by cooking breakfast and dinner in our room – with comfortable reading chairs and hammock located on our own private deck with a stellar view of the bay there was no reason to leave. We spent our nights drinking wine on the deck, listening to music and chilling out in the hammock. The plunging pool and garden patio downstairs makes the location even more appealing.

When you choose to leave, 10 mins walking gets you to either the town center or the best beach on the island - Princess Margaret beach. We enjoyed lunch at Jacks restaurant at Princess Margaret, a gorgeous outdoor venue with good prices, quality food and chilled out beach-front atmosphere with great sunset views.

It was both adventurous and romantic at the same time – a perfect 1-week getaway for our 5th anniversary. The room service came into our room while while we were out at dinner and decorated the room with flowers, candles, chocolates and a bottle of champagne!

This place is a perfect for those who want a mix of charm, comfort and adventure. I recommend brining a portable music player so you can make the most of a relaxing on the property – and be sure to say hi to Michael, Arlene, Ronita and Durshal - they will be some of the best hosts you ever met!
