Booked this Travelodge at the last minute. No deal. £49.00 plus £10.00 for the privilage of getting into your room before 3pm. The room was at the end of a corridor as asked for, away from the noise of other guests coming and going. The bedroom was tired looking with various marks on walls and carpet. The bathroom had mould around the bath handles and on the ceiling, a sign of bad ventilation. The bath took ages to fill, bad water pressure. For £59.00 you expect something better than I got. The only plus piont was the bed was very comfy and spotless. I used my laptop while there but had to pay £10.00 to get connected to Travelodge wi-fi system(Spectrum). Must say not all Travelodges are as depressed looking as this one. Some investment required if it wants to compete with Premier Lodges.

Rooms were a little tired and need of an overhaul. Some fittings were broken and there was some mould in the bathroom. The location is great and has an M&S next door! The water in the pressure in the shower was very poor and only just warm enough when turned to full extent.

Slightly chilly room and not the best room heater in the world. But this was a quiet and clean place to stay. One of the older style lodges but nothing wrong with that apart from the rubbish plumbing which seems to be a feature of all travelodges. Takes about 20 minutes to run a bath.

The moto services are right next door and not too crowded. Excellent to have a m&s in the building too

For £19 for a night's stay - even for a single person it's not too bad. If travelling North in the dark it is hard to find your way around the services to get to the Southbound area where the lodge is located and to get back to the Northern route the following morning in the dark. The room was well worn - much more so than other travelodges I have stayed in. Room was freezing on arrival and took many hours to warm up once I had turned on the small electric heater. Not enough blankets - I used my coat on the bed to keep warm. Kettle insides were somewhat rusty but ok after washing out. Shower - poor pressure. Actually now I think about it - I think 'poor' is generous except for the price. I did sleep well though as there were not many people in.
