This is a nice B&B overall. The main advantage is the location as Doolin is really spread out and this B&B has a great location near the pubs for listening to trad. The owner is very helpful and offers great advice on getting around and where to go locally. The breakfast is also really good - not just your usual full Irish, you can have smoked salmon!

The only drawback is the shower which seemed to be broken - it was either so hot you couldn't get under it or freezing cold - no happy medium!

We were fortunate to get a beautiful room as we showed up at the door with no reservation. Danny, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time at one of the most popular pubs with live music which was only a 2 minute walk from the house. I would highly recomend this B and B and I would definately stay there again if I am ever lucky enough to go back to Doolin.

Great food, clean rooms, quite comfortable, beautiful landscape and nicest people. Chris was a wonderful host. The nicest surprise was The Riverside Bistro from the same owners with delicious meals, which is only 2 minutes walk down the road.

The surrounding villages and coastline are beautiful, And there is lots of sites to visit within driving range.

If you are driving from Galway, make sure to go by the cost road from Ballyvaughan because the N67 is the most nerve-wrecking and narrow road I have seen till now.

We started our trip in Doolin & were welcomed by Chris & Olive early the morning we flew into the Shannon airport. Our family of 6 occupied 3 bedrooms. (BTW, be SURE & get the most insurance you can on your rental vehicle; we knocked the passenger side mirror off within an hour of leaving the airport! Ireland's narrow roads are challenging to say the least!) We dropped our luggage & had a great lunch at Olive's new restaurant down the road before going on a Cliffs of Moher boat ride. That evening, we had so much fun at McDermott's Pub (great Guiness beef stew & seafood chowder, then local music) & McGann's Pub, both a short walk from the B&B. What a great way to begin our Irish adventure! Thanks, Chris & Olive--
