“Recommending”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

Great food, clean rooms, quite comfortable, beautiful landscape and nicest people. Chris was a wonderful host. The nicest surprise was The Riverside Bistro from the same owners with delicious meals, which is only 2 minutes walk down the road.

The surrounding villages and coastline are beautiful, And there is lots of sites to visit within driving range.

If you are driving from Galway, make sure to go by the cost road from Ballyvaughan because the N67 is the most nerve-wrecking and narrow road I have seen till now.

“Great location near best pubs!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2011

We started our trip in Doolin & were welcomed by Chris & Olive early the morning we flew into the Shannon airport. Our family of 6 occupied 3 bedrooms. (BTW, be SURE & get the most insurance you can on your rental vehicle; we knocked the passenger side mirror off within an hour of leaving the airport! Ireland's narrow roads are challenging to say the least!) We dropped our luggage & had a great lunch at Olive's new restaurant down the road before going on a Cliffs of Moher boat ride. That evening, we had so much fun at McDermott's Pub (great Guiness beef stew & seafood chowder, then local music) & McGann's Pub, both a short walk from the B&B. What a great way to begin our Irish adventure! Thanks, Chris & Olive--

“Nice B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2011

This is a cozy B&B located near the cliff of Moher. It was our 1st night in Ireland. We were welcome with such friendliness and kindness at this B&B. I recommend this place to anyone that visits Ireland. (the coffee was wonderful also).

“Lovely stay at this cozy, endearing B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2011

My mom and I decided to check out the charming town of Doolin, known for its traditional Irish music and close proximity to the Cliffs of Moher. We stumbled upon the Toomullin House B&B in our search for a place to stay. We were extremely happy with our choice as my mom and I both agreed we had the best night's sleep of the whole trip at this place. The beds were extremely comfortable! Upon first arriving at the Toomullin House, we were cheerfully greeted by our host, Chris, who was happy to show us to our room and give us recommendations for dinner and a pub to go to where we could listen to traditional Irish music. Chris was extremely welcoming and helpful and made us feel at home. We enjoyed our breakfast in the morning as well and were sad to leave. The only complaint we had was the plumbing. We had problems getting the toilet to flush two times in a row. We had to let the toilet sit for at least 20 or 30 minutes before it would flush again. This wasn't a huge problem and didn't really affect the enjoyment of our visit. The stairs were also a little steep for my mom as she has arthritis in her knees so you may want to request a room on the main level if the stairs would be an issue for you. I would highly recommend this adorable B&B if you're looking for a relaxing, restful stay in the delightful town of Doolin.

“Charming friendly and warm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2010

Great Irish welcome we were made to feel at home immediately. Toomullin is two minutes outside Doolin, the rooms were comfortable and spotless with all the amenities you could need .Breakfast was excellent with lovely brown bread. Olive and Chris are great hosts and really make you feel at home. The atmosphere in their home is relaxing and you come away from Doolin feeling revived and ready to return to the big smoke. Thank you both for a lovely experience.
