This was the second time that I stayed at the Castle View Farmhouse. The views from this B & B are breathtaking. The ocean, the cliffs, Doonagore Castle and Fisher Street in the Village of Doolin, are right out the front door and your bedroom window. Staying on a working cattle farm was wonderful too. In the morning the cattle were mooing and you really felt like you were part of this wonderful rural area of Ireland.
Doolin is the perfect area to stay for three nights to visit The Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Galway Bay scenic drive and The Aran Islands. Sally Nagle was very helpful giving us directions and notifying us when our ferry time changed for The Aran Islands. Breakfast was perfect too! The traditional Irish breakfast was provided every day with a variation of the way the eggs were prepared. Dry cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt were also provided if you don't eat eggs. Brown bread was on the table each morning and fresh brewed coffee. The rooms were decorated in a modern style and yes (as other reviews have mentioned), the bathrooms are small, water pressure low, however enough water to shower and feel clean. Remember, this is my second time to stay here.
The three pubs in Doolin were so much fun. McGann's had the best food, however the food was good in the other pubs too. Every night live music is playing. After seeing the sites all day, it is great to relax with a Guninness and here some great music. You really feel at home in Doolin and at The Castle View Farmhouse.
