“Great site”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

this is again one of the few sites in Ireland that knows how to set out a pitch correctly for campervans..... it is a clean, tidy, well run site. About 10 min walk from village of Doolin, where you can get food and drink a plenty. Have been back there three times and will definately go again.

As it is right by the pier, it is also excellent for the ferries... and a dolphin visiting the pier in the evening was a fab bonus

“Good value, beautiful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

I have stayed here in 2010 and 2011, with a campervan.
Despite its 3 star rating, this is a very good camp site. It is clean, well kept, and the toilet and shower facilities are very well maintained. It is nice and quiet at nighttime. Showers cost extra - €1, for 5/7 minutes of hot water - but this is now the norm in most camp sites, even where they are charging much higher site prices than Nagle's. I paid €20 for the van and two adults - I have paid €28 in other sites, that would not compare.
Lovely views of the sea and the Cliffs of Moher and the site is very close to Doolin pier if you want to get the ferry across to the Aran Islands or a sightseeing cruise of the cliffs. There are also some very nice walks in the locality. The nearest pub is about a 15/20 walk away.
This would be a good base for visiting other areas and attracions in Co. Clare

“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

Great campsite.... whole campsite is kept clean as are the toilets/washrooms/kitchen...

Plenty of choice for pitching your tent...but bring extra pegs...the wind can pick up when blowing in off the sea...

Campsite is quite at night but at the same time if you are in your tent chatting there is no problem from anyone...

10 minutes walk to O'Connors pub in doolin village and 15 minutes back... Bring a torch... no street lights...

Would definitly go back...

“An absolute cracking site, with amazing views!”

This site is by far one of the best sites that I have camped on. First impressions were excellent, the owner was very helpful, the site was very clean and the facilities were top notch. Where we pitched our tent we had an amazing view of the sea and the Cliffs of Moher. Electrical points were very close to hand. But there didn’t seem to be many fresh water points around for some reason. The site was very secure and was amazingly quiet at night time. The location of the site itself was an excellent base for visiting all the attractions in Clare. I couldn’t understand why there was no soap in the toilets though? The shop that was on-site was very handy altogether. It was stocked with all the essentials including bits for camping. I actually would definitely go back here and would recommend the site 100% to anyone.

Strange thats its only 3 stars! Fantastic facilities in a stunning loaction (specially for the sunset which takes your breath away and Dusty the Dolphin) Doolin itself is only ten minute walk away, the site is kept extremely clean and is safe for children, Looking forward to our return.
