“Frank was warm and welcoming”

Stayed here on my second trip to Ireland after having a wonderful experience in one of the local pubs on my first trip. Doolin is the best place for traditional Irish music. Frank went out of his way to make sure I didn't miss any opportunity to enjoy the good music and craic. The room was large, clean and comfortable. His breakfasts are delicious. I highly recommend staying with Frank at Doonmacfelim House. I'll be returning in March for St. Patrick's day in Doolin. I'm sure Frank will be happy to show me the best place to celebrate!

“Nice and Quiet”

This was our first stay in Ireland after arriving and seeing the Cliffs of Moher. Frank was very helpful with advice on local places to eat and cooked us a delicious irish breakfast. The room was clean and the shower had the best supply of hot water we would experience in the 5 B&Bs we stayed at in Ireland. The house is away from the main road but within walking distance of a pub and some shops which was very conducive to getting a good nights sleep.

This is my second stay at Doonmacfelim and I received a warm reception. I keep getting drawn back to Doolin and this is the only B&B I would consider

“Meeting Frank was the highlight of the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

Stayed here for one night on a trip to Doolin. Frank the owner was a great character and more than happy to help with anything. He has great knowledge on the local area and tips on the best pubs/food/music to be found in Doolin. Rooms were clean and compact with en suite bathrooms. Rooms had great facilities such as hairdyers/tv/tea and coffee making facilities. Decor was typically Irish and a bit outdated (floral sheets and curtains) but the size is great value for money. Its super cental and an easy walk to the centre of the toen. The scenery is amazing and the walk from the b&b to the cliffs of moher along the coast is a must for anyone visiting the area in order to really experience the setting and is overlooked by many tourists. Got a great nights sleep with no noise audible from the other rooms (all full). Breakfast was served quickly and efficiently and was a good standard. Great choice on the breakfast menu for guests which really sets this b&b apart from the rest. I would recommend this place to everyone as a great budget friendly option.

Room Tip: Room 4 had the best bathroom!

“Good, decent Irish hospitality”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011

Frank was welcoming and helpful/free with his info (pubs for dinner, route to Dingle etc).
Room was biggest in our week around Ireland but not the quietest (the front door just under us slammed shut a lot!).
Room was comfortable and ensuite was a good size.
Breakfest was decent and good; nothing outstanding (we had better and worse!).
Would recommend for a stay near the cliffs as a good price and just what you need.
