“The place to stay when visiting the Cliffs!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Unfortunately my wife and I were only able to spend a night in this amazing and historical bed and breakfast. We walked in and were quickly greeted by their friendly staff, it was very cozy in the sitting area as there was a peat fire burning! We were given a room towards the end of the hall and were able to see the cliffs by opening our window! The breakfast in the morning was amazing, a full Irish breakfast to start the day!
We were a little disappointed because they lock the gate to the castle next door so we were not able to go into it. As we were getting in our car after check out, one of the staff members came running out to stop us. They decided to take my wife and I and a few other guests up into the castle, which they only do when the weather is nice! It was a great view from the castle, if you stay here do ask about going up in the castle!

Room Tip: There are two rooms at the end of the hall (15 & 16) that both have great views of the Cliffs

“Excellent weekend getaway”

I have been meaning to write this review since the summer.
My husband and I spent a very enjoyable time here in August .Very good food in their gourmet restaurant and excellent breakfasts.
The rooms are luxury and have brillant views of the sea.
Rates are reasonable enough. Cecillie will see you right from check-in to check -out.
We will be back.

“Boutique Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

Stayed in this hotel on the October Bank holiday weekend. We availed of the dinner bed&breakfast deal.
We dont normally stay in small hotels but I think that I am now converted to small boutique hotels. What set this apart from the normal hotel is the interaction with family members who go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay.
We had a lovely 4 poster room with amazing views of the area .
The food in the dining -room is very good for a small hotel and would rival any of the big name hotels.
We hope to return next year and explore more of the area.

Room Tip: Get a room with a front view.

“Grand old house”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

Impressive driveway takes you to this grand old house. As with all these house to hotel conversions the luggage is always tricky. The corridors are lengthy and include plenty of stairs! However, the bedroom was really delightful. Spacious and furnished beautifully. The dining room was brilliant, good food and the service outstanding.
