Upon our late arrival (at 1 in the morning), we were afraid we would be too late to get our room. We were tired and the drive from the Shannon airport to the town of Doolin was rather "adventurous" and dark at such a late hour in the night. As soon as we drove up to the Aran View hotel, we were so happy. It was all lit up and we were greeted by a warm-hearted Irishwoman who graciously let us check in. The place is VERY clean. The atmosphere of the hotel is perfect for the town of Doolin. The room was spacious, the view of the luscious green fields and sheep was enchanting, and it was just so comfortable. We felt right at home. We enjoyed a Guinness downstairs at the bar at night and enjoyed an authentic Irish breakfast in the morning. The only downfall (for me, Chelsea) was there weren't any outlets for my hair straightener ;) However, there was a blow dryer in the room already. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. And if we ever go back to Doolin, Aran View Hotel will surely be the place we stay.

You may not readily believe the perfection of this location! View across a grassy slope to the sea and the Cliffs of Moher in the distance. An old hotel with dark wood, small but charming rooms off a warren of halls and stairs. The bath was luxurious. Charming and helpful staff steered us to a fantastic pub dinner.

I have stayed at the Aran View many times. Every time I go to Ireland the Aran View is my home away from home. The family treats me as a special friend. The hotel is beautiful and elegant with a view of the cliffs that is breath taking. The hotel is clean and well maintained. I have rented the self catering cottage two years in a row. The cottage has everything one needs and is very well stocked. The staff is very special and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is special. I will stay at the Aran View eveytime I go to Doolin

Incredible place to stay if you're looking for the true essence of Ireland! Beautiful view of the cliffs and Aran islands from room. Inn keeper theresa is 5th generation on property and a gracious hostess. If we make it back to doolin, that's where you'll find us!
