“Hard to feel welcome in this place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2010

The small room wouldn't have bothered us, and we would have been delighted with the breakfast if it weren't for our host. Everything she did was accompanied by deep sighs, as if the effort was too much for her. The house is extremely noisy as well, which makes it very unsuitable for families with small children. The host should not even consider taking families with small children. We received a very unfriendly treatment and would not recommend this place.

“position perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2010

Loved this place. Good value, clean rooms, great location. Teresa made us feel very welcome with a coffee/tea on arrival served in the sunshine on her balcony.

Located just behind the main street, it is in the perfect position to explore Doolin. Espec ially the chocolate/fudge shop which is dangerously close!

Room was small but didn't matter to us. It is only to sleep in.

Delicious breakfast topped off the experience.

“Wonderful Experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 April 2010

Teresa Shannon is a wonderful host! Upon arrival she made the best coffee we had in Ireland! We enoyed a wonderful conversation with her before making our way down to Gus O'conner's for the evening. The Lane Lodge offers ample parking, clean, affordable rooms and a delicious breakfast. Our room was a little small, but had beautiful views, spotless bathroom and comfortable beds. We expect that when we return to Doolin, we will stay with Teresa again.

“Stay here & feel like your at a friend's place when in Doolin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2009

The owner/operator was so friendly & helpful. I left a car there and she gave me a lift to the ferry and would have picked me up as well - and I hadn't even stay at the lodge at that stage. It is not in the main street but just up a lane (2min. walk from Gus OÇonnell Pub) therefore much quieter than some places. Ireland feels and is pretty safe but here I felt as safe as staying at a good friend's place. I wish I had stayed there when I first got into town.

Highly recommended.

“Seconds from Fishersteet and a hidden gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2009

The Lane Lodge sits just behind the row of shops next to O'connors pub so for location in Doolin you cant get better. Again its only a short 10 minute walk to the other famous Doolin pubs and within walking distance of Doolin harbour. It has ample private car park space.

I'll start with one negetive.......the rooms are small but importantly warm, clean and beds are confortable.

But when you consider its location, the generous Irish breakfast and the friendly family owners you will realise for price you'll struggle to find the same value for money in the area.
