My Father in Law (90 years old) and I visited between 4th - 8th May. The virginia House is a large mid terrace unspoiled period building packed full of charm. It is situated in the heart of Fermoy but enjoys hassle free parking. The warmth of Leo and Mary is only surpassed by the depth of their local knowledge. Ask and you will find! A hearty Irish breakfast second to none starts your day. They have a collection of topical, historic books, maps and guides available for your instruction. The Viginia House B&B represents great value, kindness and a genuine taste of the emerald Isle. Lepricorns were not seen during our trip, but the rain bow ended at Leo & Marys door!

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Mary and Leo made us feel very welcome at their home. We were told the history of the house, which was quite interesting. The breakfast was great, and they were very flexible with the menu. The restaurants and pubs were just a quick walk away. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The outside of the building was beautiful with the ivy turning a deep red. (It also made it VERY easy to find the B&B)
Our only complaint was that since we live in the country, we are not used to hearing cars (even when we closed the shutters and curtains). Others that stayed while we were there live in the suburbs, but they did not notice the noise. It was not too bad, and would not be something that would prevent us from staying with them again.
We had a great time and look forward to returning.

Wonderful accomodation for those seeking a relaxing time by the river Blackwater. We had a wonderfuly room with all modern amenities in an old traditional town house.
The town of Fermoy has a history and present worth absorbing. Wonderful walks along the riverbank and fishing for those who like to relax by an open river.

we have visited fermoy many times and found that food and accomadation was average
but in july this year we stopped at virginia house.we were very pleased with the friendly
welcome we recieved.we found the rooms to be clean and tidy with an excellent breakfast also very good rates.i would be happy to reccomened anyone going to fermoy
