A real disappointment. Paper thin mattresses, broken showers, and a hair dryer that must be shared by several rooms, all in sparsely furnished rooms (our party used three). Unfortunately, road crews started work right outside our windows at 7 AM each morning. The staff was friendly (as is everyone in Ireland), but seemed to accept the condition with no ambition to upgrade, or even buy another hairdryer.
Conveniently located in the center of this small village, so you can walk everywhere. Also, Newmarket on Fergus is a good base from which to tour the Cliffs of Mohr and the Galway coast, and then fly out the next day.
Suggest an alternative place to stay: The Fergus Lodge, also in Newmarket on Fergus, and a bed and breakfast. Also, considerably cheaper than the Hunter's Lodge.
