I am a little late writing this review, I actually stayed here for a few days in June 2011. There were 4 adults and 3 children in all, and there was more than enough room for everyone. Our house had 3 bedrooms, one huge double with ensuite and another large double on the ground floor which was right beside the bathroom, so as good as an ensuite. And also a smaller twin room upstairs. The living space was open plan with kitchen, dining area and living room. Again, this was a good size. The was no garden, but there was a sitting area outside, however this was not private and there didn’t seem to be seats allocated to each house, there seemed to be a bit of pinching of seats going on! All the fixtures and fittings were excellent and the furnishing and decoration throughout was to a very high standard.

The location of this resort is absolutely stunning, the lake is beautiful and there is a very nice walk along the lake shore. Or you can simply enjoy the view from the deck of the bar! You could easily spend you whole time in the resort and not get bored, but you are quite close to Dublin, Naas, Newbridge, Glendalough etc if you fancy doing a bit of touring. I personally did not use any of the leisure facilities, but my sister and the kids used the pool and enjoyed it. There is also loads of sporting facilities available at an extra charge.

We ate in both the bar and the restaurant and both were excellent. The restaurant was beautiful and both the food and service were top notch. The staff were very welcoming, even though we had a double buggy with us which required a bit of furniture moving! We felt the restaurant offered excellent value for money. The bar food was also good, however the service was a bit more chaotic here. The beautiful views over the lake made up for this though!

All in all, we loved our few days here, we would definitely stay here again. It can be expensive in high season, but it is one of the self catering options on the Super Value Getaway breaks, which makes it very affordable.
