Had a nice relaxing weekend stayed.
Arrived on a friday night, only booked in for one night, were told when booking i was told it was full up, but when we arrived we were told that we could stay the extra night no problem.

The pool was very nice with the heated section outdoor, even with it being march!

Only problem of the stay was the fact it was a wheel chair accessible room and the bathroom was not as nice as the other rooms, but the fact we booked last minute it was not the biggest problem.

Some nice areas to walk around the hotel, and enjoyed the bar downstairs.

a Group of us Ladies enjoyed a lovely day in the Spa and swimming pool with heated outdoor pool over looking wonderful View of Countryside. The rooms were comfortable. Square Sink in Bathroom may need to be looked at as it did not empty after use. The restaurant was 5 Star and was delicious. Staff very Helpful and pleasant. Definately would book again.

Stayed here at start of January and fell in love with the place- stayed in a lovely suite with fireplace etc nice large room and great shower in bathroom - one criticism would be the lighting in the room but didn't really matter. Breakfast was first class; Cellar bar v nice and restaurant was lovely also no complaints. Staff were excellent generally including Bar Supervisor/manager who seemed genuinely concerned about how are stay was.

I've read some of the previous reviews and some people can never be pleased - facilities here are superb lovely grounds and lovely area generally.

I do have one criticism and its this; when we checked out we sat outside and contemplated staying another night - i checked an online booking site before checking at reception for prices and the price quoted was 30 more and even when i asked to clarify the rate wasn't reduced to the online rate - now i could have booked online but at the time i felt aggrieved as i had spent 3 days there and hadn't left the premises - so ate and drank there exclusively. We spent a fourth night in another hotel nearby.. However that doesn't take away from a great experience - clean rooms, friendly staff, good food and great environment - would highly recommend and already have.

Despite being end of January, there was nearly a full house for our recent overnight get away. This hotel, a few miles west of Cavan town, offers an extensive spa with a full range of treatments, relaxation room, sauna, steam room, water therapy areas as well as heated indoor and connected outdoor infinity pool. The staff were professional and friendly. We were offered a late check out, were not charged for a lunch item when there was a delay in the order, had the car valet parked - all without us asking. The room was comfortable and had nice design touches like chaise longue, groovy chair, old style light switches, curved wall end of wardrobe. I would ask for a room on the top floor to better enjoy views of the estate. It is fun to discover the sitting rooms in the old part of the house, notice the special chandeliers and curved mahogany door in the hall area.The weather prevented any exploration of the intriguing marked walks on the estate- next time. Dinner and breakfast was very good. The hotel could perhaps consider having more signs for the hotel from Cavan town.Some paintings or artwork would enhance the sitting rooms. The car park is unusually about 4 mins walk from entrance, we were directed to drive up and the car was parked for us then- no bother. Also, no bother with the bathroom shutter when it is closed.
