“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

My husband and I are just bk from a 3 night stay at the Courtyard.

He booked it as a surprise for Valentines. We are a young couple who like a nice hotel, clean, good food, good atmosphere, friendly staff and something to do at nights. This hotel has everything it did not disappoint at all.

The staff are extremely friendly, we had the pleasure of dealing with Owen and P.J the manager who went out of their way to make our stay really enjoyable. The rooms are spotless, big and very comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant the River Bank. We had dinner there on Friday night and the food was excellent, plenty of variety and very nice atmosphere, dim lighting and piano playing in the background, very romantic.
The hotel has 2 bars, the piano bar which we went to on Saturday night and Arthurs bar on Friday night, we had a good time in both bars. The hotel is very popular with the local people which is always a good sign and caters to everyones taste.
Breakfast was included with our trip and could either have it down in the restaurant or in our room, we ate in the restaurant 2 mornings and had it in the room the other. The food was really nice and plenty of variety.
We did have a very loud "snoring man" in the room next to us on the Friday and Saturday night and we were at he bar until about 2.30 or so and came bk to the room, we had the tv on and could still hear him through the walls over the TV, we didn't get very much sleep but found it more funny than annoying. We asked at reception the next morning if they had checked out only so we would know in advance to either keep the tv on all night or buy earplugs lol, the manager then came back to us later and offered us an upgrade. We found it really kind and we hadn't even complained about anything but the room we upgraded to was lovely and it really did show the hotel do everything for their guests. We really appreciated it.

The hotel really does have everything for everyone, sports shown in the bar, 2 different bars, a lovely restaurant and lobby area and of course a courtyard and outdoor heated smoking area. We have stayed in hotels all over Ireland, Uk, America and various cities and places in Europe and we really loved the Courtyard Hotel, without a doubt one of the best hotels we have stayed in and will definitely be returning.

Thank you again to all the staff..

Sinead

“Friendly Staff”

We stayed here midweek just for a short break. The hotel is lovely and The staff were extremely helpful. We did find it a little noisy at night with doors constantly banging (heard people at breakfast complaining about the the same thing) and as it was midweek the only bar open was Arthurs which was very bright and had two giant TVs showing continuous sport, which is not my cup of tea at all but all in all it was great value for money. .

Dear Rio-9,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay with us. We are delighted that you enjoyed your midweek break and found our staff to be friendly and helpful during your stay.

We try to cater for everyone in the bars so are sorry if the sport was not to your taste. Our Bar Staff would be happy to change to something else if requested. We hope you will have an opportunity to visit us again in the future and to experience the live entertainment in our bars at the weekends.

Myself and five of my friends visited this hotel during the xmas, we were staying in a hotel down the road, the Springfield hotel but it wasnt the best location for fun and we didnt really enjoy the food, so we went to the courtyard on 3 nights and we had so much fun in there, it was so alive, even though the place was jam packed there was still a fantastic atmosphere and we managed to get some seats which probably helped! .... we went to the restaurant on the second night and it was also jammed but still again was fantastic so much going on! there was a band and a DJ on, we had planned to leave after the meal but we were content to stay it was so enjoyable. the food took a while to come was the only problem but our waiter (ken??) was so attentive and apologetic over this and was actually very funny so this added to the experience! will return deffo!!!

“A GREAT FIND - HIGHLY RECOMMEND”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

We spent a long weekend at the Courtyard - arriving home today - 28.11.11.
The Hotel is a little hidden gem, hidden behind the Main Street of Leixlip.
We were upgraded for no extra charge! to a Luxury suite on the third floor which was extremely comfortable. It was also very quiet - which we appreciated. The LARGE King size bed was very comfy. (We heard NOTHING of the very loud music going on in the Bar downstairs)
Food was excellent - dinner and bar food better than the breakfast. Service was impeccable.
Staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful.
I wish to highlight the helpfulness of Pamela (who gave us the upgrade), Shona who went beyond the call of duty to help us book the cinema on line and gave us such accurate directions for our travels. Ron could not have done enough for us to help us - he was so attentive to our every requirement. The rest of the staff were also excellent.
Leixlip is very handy if you wish to visit Dublin and do not wish to drive in the crazy traffic of the inner city.
Would highly recommend this hotel.
The only drawback is the car parking at the hotel - when it is busy it is almost impossible to find a space and the barrier being down at times is a bit of a drawback when going in and out.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room - higher floors better - luxury suites superb!

Just back from a 3 Night break at this wonderful hotel. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. The quality of the hotel and bedrooms is definitely deserving of its 4 star status. The newly refurbished courtyard with massive screen/ waterfalls were gorgeous. Finally - the River Bank restaurant - a delightful culinary experience from breakfast to dinner. Great food, service and deals - early Bird specials and sunday specials !! excellent value - we had a meal as part of our package and chose to return the next 2 nights because the food was to die for. Thanks to all the staff at this hotel we will be back. Barbara & Lynne xx P.S. only a short bus ride to centre of Dublin
