Traveling in Ireland Oct of 2011, we booked a 2 night stay at Gregan's Castle in Galway area, and were so delighted that it exceeded our hopes. The staff were great and attentive, the dining was such a gourmet experience, and the room was so lovely, traditional with antiques, yet modern bath-great combination! Grounds were lovely to wwalk even in the Irish Mist, as they call it, and was so fun to find boots and umbrellas provided to continue to enjoy our stay, regardless of weather. Loved coming into the study and bar area, and have a good Irish coffee and cocktail with healthy portions of spirits to warm us up. Logistically, there is so much to see from this location, and having our own rental car, we almost saw it all. Wish we had stayed another day at this wonderful hotel. A great time of year to go Sept-Oct, miss all the crowds, and have super one on one service everywhere you go.
