“Engaging hosts & freshly made bread at Breakfast!”

It was a very pleasant stay and I enjoyed the Breakfast so much that I am already looking forward to visiting Oranhill B&B again in the near future. Ann & Michael have restored my belief in the warm Irish welcome. They could not have done more to make my visit memorable and engaging. I can now understand that in the busy summer months this B&B gets many word-of-mouth referrals.

“Felt Like Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I am not surprised that Oranhill Lodge is ranked number 1. From the moment we arrived we were treated as good friends. We stayed in B & B's for the family feel and we were not disappointed with Oranhill Lodge.

Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived with a load of wet clothes and enquired if there was a laundrette in the town. Ann took charge and dried the clothes in her dryer and on drying racks for us.

There was a good pub selling excellent food, recommended by Ann, which was an easy walk from Oranhill Lodge. The service at the pub was excellent as was the atmosphere and ws exactly what we were looking for.

The room was clean, comfortable, private and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and set us up well for our day of travel. The full Irish was fantastic.

What made the stay truly special was the family. Ann and Michael were so welcoming and their daughters were an absolute delight. We could have have talked all night on a range of topics. They love their sport and so do we and our comments on the importance of studying hard were at least appreciated by Ann, if not her daughters.

Our only regret was that we were only there for one night. Oranhill Lodge would provide a great base from which to discover the Galway area. We could not fault anything and the feeling of home made it more special.

“Top Class B & B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We would highly recommend Oranhill lodge bed and breakfast after our brief stay on November 12th 2011. We booked it on the day and the proprietors couldn't have been more accommodating. The room was very comfortable with the bed linen, towels, facilitites etc of luxury hotel quality. The breakfast menu offered a variety of foods and the 'Full Irish', accompanied by a selection of homemade breads, was simply delicious. We'll be back!

“PERFECT LODGE BED AND BREAKFAST – Could not be ranked any higher!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

At Oranhill Lodge Bed and Breakfast we were greeted with a huge warm Irish - 'Cead Mile Failte', (a hundred thousand welcomes) from proprietors Ann and Michael, an extremely nice couple with a great sense of humour and for whom nothing is too much trouble. Oranhill Lodge is a large, comfortable house with a lovely dining room with luxurious chairs, comfortable King-size beds and large en-suites (with good lighting and a large shower) - the size of some bathrooms – it would be best described as a ‘small hotel but bigger and better in many other ways!’ A breakfast menu is available and includes a varied choice, including a selection of teas and jams. Breakfast is freshly cooked and hot – Ann’s freshly home baked bread is delicious! A small vase of fresh flowers on each table is a nice addition. Ann and Michael ensured quality customer satisfaction throughout our stay in their beautifully furnished and decorated home located in a quiet area of Oranmore, which is very well situated and easily accessible, only 10 miles from Galway city. We were treated extremely well by our excellent hostess and host - much better than in a hotel!!

Ann and Michael are excellent ambassadors for Galway city and county Galway and it was lovely to meet their two daughters who are certainly the best junior ambassadors you could encounter!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay from 19 until 21 October 2011. A wonderfully friendly home from home that could not be ranked any higher!!!

“Absolutely Fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

Just returned from a short break -spent 5 nights at Ann and Michaels delightful B and B. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms are extremely clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicous with a great choice from full irish breakfasts to light and fluffy pancakes. Oranmore is a lovely village and is a good base for exploring the rest of the county., Our hosts offered lots of advice on places to visit. Would highly recommend anyone visiting this area to stay at this very friendly and welcoming establishment.
