This was a highlight of our trip. It was within sight of the castle and aloud for wonderful photos. The gardens were beautiful and the inside was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional offering virtually anything you wanted to make a fine breakfast. Best of all was the host, Carmel. She made us feel at home and offered friendly conversation and advice. If we visit Ireland again, we will surely stop in and stay at the Hill House - assuming it is still operated by Carmel.

A wonderful, old Georgian home with wonderful views of the Rock of Cashel is the reward for booking with Carmel at Hill House. The home is beautiful and the grounds are perfect for relaxing. The Rock and the town are just down the hill and yet, your accommodation is nice and quiet. The breakfasts cannot be topped and Carmel is a warm and knowledgeable host.

Carmel is a wonderfull lady. always with a smile and always ready to help. The rooms are decorated the way you expect it in a nice old house, with an very good eye for detail and authenticity.
The situation is also perfekt for the Rock of Cashel and just a few steps away from the city of Cashel.

We stayed for one night in July while on a quick trip to Ireland. Upon our arrival, we were delighted to learn that Hill House is at least as lovely in person as it looks in pictures. The house is lovingly preserved and the antique furnishings are both tasteful and comfortable. We stayed in the blue family room at front of the house and got a great night's sleep in the big four poster bed. Carmel was a great source of information about the Rock and the town of Cashel. However, she was not at all intrusive. We decided to splurge on calories and go for the "Full Irish" breakfast the next day, and were truly glad we did. The meal was huge and fresh and kept us going most of the day. Our only complaint about our visit was that it was just too short. Hill House was so beatiful and Carmel so friendly, that we wished we would have been able to stay longer!
