Stayed with my husband in the Crowne Plaza, Dundalk for the first time last Saturday night. Had requested a smoking room and we were allocated a room on the second floor. Check in was very quick, friendly and efficient. Room and bathroom was good size with two double beds, spotless linen and all mod cons in perfect working order. The beds were very very comfortable and we could hear no noise from other rooms - slept very well. Was impressed with the quality of the shower also. Everything in the room and bathroom was very good quality. Would definately recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Dundalk. Will be going back here again.....

My husband and I together with our 21 month old daughter stayed in this lovely hotel on a Saturday night in January. We had travelled to the area to visit some friends and booked a room as we were impressed with the online overnight rates.

We were very impressed with the speedy and friendly check in service at reception. We were assigned a room on the 12th floor with a lovely sea view. Our room was very clean, warm and welcoming. There were two double beds in our room and it was still very spacious, our room had all mod cons and a nice welcome message on our telephone and tv screen. The room was airconditioned and bathroom was very roomy and also spotless. Mini gripe that there were not enough towels or toiletries supplied and you had to pay for the mineral water from the mini bar, I prefer when hotel rooms supply a water for their guests.

We dined in the bar , service was excellent but a little bit mean to have charged extra for a plain bread roll of our daughter in our opinion. Food was beautiful but dishes were not supplied with a garnish or side salad so plates looked a bit bare. We took our drinks to our room as there was a sign displayed that chidren were only allowed in the bar until 9pm. We didn't mind this at all.

We slept very soundly, there wasn't any disturbance or noise and the beds are the most comfortable I've ever been in at any hotel.

We enjoyed our breakfast on the 14th floor the following morning, service was great despite it being very busy.

Check out was efficient also.

Overall we felt this was a top quality hotel however not very toddler friendly, we were really shocked that there was not a hotel for it's 4 stars. Towels were scarce and no water was provided in the room, only 1 'bath gel' and 1 'shampoo' was supplied with two bars of soap as toiletries.

We paid 99euro for an overnight stay and breakfast.

Stayed in the Crowne Plaza Dundalk for two nights in January 2012. The service, staff and hotel were top notch. On the second night at around 11.50 pm, a party started in the room next door. I rang reception immediately, spoke to Daniel, informed him of the problem and within fifteen minutes, the people were removed, quiet was restored, and he apologised profusely for any inconvenience. I will return.

Great quality rooms. Very new hotel, and really nicely finished rooms and bathrooms. Nice sized. Lovely bed and bed linen. Nice staff. Great view from restaurant on top floor. Not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
