We stayed here for one night 17th August. We found a very warm welcome, well run family hotel. Good food and and lively music. it was great to see the young Irish musicians coming through with their take on Irish folke songs along with older members of the audience joining in with various songs and playing traditional instruments. We counted 9 different instruments being played the night we were there by the resident group plus any others that came along..... The propriertors had reserved us a table for dinner and we had a great night. We found comfy beds; my 11 year old comented on the "proper" bed meaning not a roll away/z-bed/click-clack. Good breakfast too! Keep up the good work guys. If we pass through Lisdoonvarna again will be staying here again.

Just recently stayed at the Rathbaun hotel and was astounded by the superb service we recieved. Every member of staff that we encountered could not do enough for us to ensure that our stay was excellent. The hotel was impeccably clean through out and the food was excellent. We tried a few of the other venues in town for entertainment but returned to the Rathbaun because it was so much better than the others!

Did not use room service but did witness it and although the resident ordering it was a little demanding to say the least, the member of staff just kept on smiling and offered to help as best as they could.

Had a really wonderful, albeit short, stay for a very reasonable price and would highly reccommend this hotel to all age groups!

Visited Lisdoonvarna whilst staying in Ballyvaughan. Needed somewhere to eat, so called in at the Rathbaun. What can I say ... service, food and prices were exceptional! ... Enjoyed it so much, we travelled back again for another meal! ... the two girls who were serving both days were very friendly and helpful. ,, a credit to the hotel ... and I hope the management appreciate this! I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Myself and my partner recently traveled west from galway to cork visiting family and checking out our old childhood holiday spots , one of which is lisdoonvarna , we stayed in a hotel close to the rathbaun hotel but availed of the music for the three nights there. One of the musicians is incredible , so much so it is a shock you dont have to pay in to see him, having done our research on him since it wont be long until you will have to! the staff behind the bar where so helpful specially when it came to advice on local atractions and the over all atmosphere was very pleasent and extremly enjoyable . We will be returning next year with family
