We have been coming back for dinner every year for the last 10 summers while staying in the area. This year we also stayed at the hotel and it just proved the impression we already had. Rooms are spacey and all facilities are ready for you upon arrival. But best of all is the spirit of service that you are met with by Martina Sheedy - no wonder she has been choses as the best host in Ireland. You always feel welcome and she keeps the perfect balance between being personal and yet professional. Food in the restaurant is for us worth a detour. John's cooking is classic yet in its own way innovative. We had the best cooked scallops we've had ever and it is a difficult dish to prepare - but you can rely on the quality at Sheedys. It was repeated at breakfast where only the best local produce was served. An excellent dining experience combined with the experioence of impeccable service delvery makes it worth many visits. We'll be back!

If you are in this area, PLEASE stay here. We loved this place. The rooms are quaint and comfortable yet large. The bathrooms have modern fixtures yet you feel you have stepped back in time. We were traveling as a family and had 4 doubles and a single. The owners' daughter welcomed us with her charming smile. The restaurant was incredible. We had a gourmet dinner for all 9 of us with a wonderful selection of entrees. Breakfast was great. I think the best part was the warm conversation with the owners. The garden in the front was icing on the cake! Highly recommend this guesthouse.

We chose Sheedy's based on other reviews on trip advisor, and we weren't disappointed. The guesthouse is very close to Lisdoonvarna, and you can happily walk to the pub and back in the evening.
The standard of food in the restaurant is very high, the owners are very obviously passionate about their buisness and this comes across in both the restaurant and the accomadation.
The house Sauvignon Blanc was one of the lovliest white wines I have ever enjoyed, and I will definately be calling them to get it's name!
