“Nice place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 April 2010

We drove straight from the airport to Kilkenny. When we arrived at Norely Theyr Sheila had a nice cup of tea and homemade scones ready, and they were good! Sheila and Frank were great to spend time with and very helpful with advice. Though a bit out-of-the-way the B&B is a very nice stop, and everything we wanted to see was a short drive away. "Lounge" area was a really neat place to spend some time in front of the fireplace in conversation with our hosts. Nice room, excellent breakfast, grrreat hosts. We'll be glad to stop again and we hope we will have a chance to!

“Excellent Prices for Great Rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2008

A few Friends and I stayed here for four nights in July. We had a lovely experience, and the owners were very helpful in every way. Kilkenny is great for Shopping, and for Pubs!

“Top Notch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2008

Its very close to the centre of Kilkenny, and its a nice drive aswell to the B&B. My room was very warm (had to open a window!!), so its a contrast to normally having to wrap up or turn on heaters when in a B&B. Brekkie was nice too, no problems at all. Will definitely be staying with them again next time I'm down there.

“Fantastic break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2008

It was my first time in Ireland and I have to say I enjoyed it very much. The owner of the guest house Sheila was welcoming and always had a smile on her face. We only got to meet her husband on the day we were leaving. He was also very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to eat. The rooms were clean and spacious. In the evening time we were able to sit infront of the warm fire in the sitting room and do some reading. It was very peacful. Also parking was not problem; you certainly need the car to get around. I would recommend to anyone if you are passing through this area to stay here. My husband and I will certainly be returning.

“Warm and Inviting Irish Hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2007

Upon arrival we were greeted by Sheila and her loyal companion Lulu. She showed us our room which had a double and twin bed en-suite. The room was spacious and clean. The garden in the back was beautifull, colorful and in bloom. Sheila offered us tea in the sitting room and had nice biscuits to accompany. We shared some stories of heritage which was most interesting. She was very familiar with the local restuarants, pubs and pottery shopping and helped with directions and reccomendations. She even knew the bargains at the local Nicholas Mosse pottery factory and I was able to get a beautiful tablecloth for only E13. The next morning the full Irish breakfast was the best we had in Ireland. Her husband Frank was the chef while Sheila served and made sure everybody had plenty to eat. Frank gave us great directions that kept us safe on the unfamiliar Irish narrow roads. All in all the B & B was peaceful and relaxing. The location was wonderful, close enough to Kilkenny and perfect for our next location to Youghal. We would reccomend the Corner House Pub for some enjoyable local company, stories and the friendliest people in Ireland! We will definitely come back!!
