“Great getaway place”

We stayed for 2 nights in the Club House. The room was OK, though the bathroom was only average. The view over the estate was lovely though. What made up for the ordinary room though was the staff. The staff at Mount Juliet were one of the most friendly helpful group I have come across in a hotel. From John the Concierge to Pauline in Housekeeping.
We had our first meal in the Presidents Bar, which is cosy with a log fire burning, the food was really good as well. The second night we dined in the Kendals Restaurant. The food was also really good and the atmosphere was lovely, with lots of room between tables.
The Spa was great we had facials and massage, the only part we didn't like was the tiny relaxation room.
The Pool was really nice and once again the staff were great and very helpful.
The grounds are very well kept and you could walk for miles in the peace and quiet, if only the weather would let you!
Great place and we would definately go again

Room Tip: If you want to make use of the pool, play golf or use the spa stay in the Club House, it's so co...

“Luxury weekend at a lavish estate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Myself and my fiancee stayed for 2 nights as an early Valentines treat and had a fab weekend!

We started off Friday evening with the 8 course Tasting Menu with matching wines in the Lady Helen restaurant! WOW! Superb food, fantastic service and wonderful ambience! He said it was "the best meal he's ever had." The food was simply amazing, the wines deliciously matched and the staff were so professional but friendly and attentive making it an all-round fantastic experience!

The house itself is just beautiful, full of oldtime charm with several different bars to enjoy and relax in. We stayed at the clubhouse as we booked late so the main hotel was booked up. The clubhouse is more relaxed and informal but the rooms are wonderful with a large flatscreen lcd tv and a huge Kingsize bed which was so comfy! We had the best sleep!

Breakfast Saturday morning was at the main hotel in the Lady Helen again, absolutely spoiled for choice with buffet and hot food to order including french toast with crispy bacon and maple syrup which I went for....delish!!!

We strolled down to Ballylinch stud on the grounds to walk off the amazing breakfast and gaze at the horses and foals in the paddocks before a lovely ramble around the estate grounds.

The swimming pool is very pretty with underwater lighting and little caverns which you can swim into! We felt totally relaxed after a swim and steam on Saturday afternoon...before dinner in Kendals restaurant Saturday evening which was delicious although nothing was going to top Friday's tasting menu to be quite honest!

The staff in Kendals are so nice...actually the staff in both the hotel and clubhouse really add to the whole experience as nothing is too much trouble and they really go out of their way to do what they can to make your stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible, I really felt like a VIP for the entire weekend! It was fab!

We went for another swim and steam before leaving yesterday which was again completely relaxing! We also got a late checkout until 1pm which was great as we got a nice lie-in before a delicious breakfast in the conservatory!

We really enjoyed every minute of our stay here and cannot wait to come back! Mount Juliet is a wonderful estate with friendly, attentive staff and extravagant detail throughout! I would highly recommend this for a romantic break or indeed a family stay.

Room Tip: Stayed in Room 94 @ clubhouse - less expensive than the main hotel - but very happy with the room, h...

“Amazing hotel, fantastic restaurant in a beautiful setting.”

Spent one night in the Mount Juliet hotel with my girlfriend recently. She paid for it as a gift so I can't really comment on the price but she said she got a great deal for the standard of service we received during our stay.

Got a back massage and facial in the spa neither of which I had experienced before. It was amazing and I definitely will try this again.

Had dinner in the Lady Helen restaurant that night and I would go as far as to say it was one of the best meals I ever had. The food was outstanding.

Finished off the wknd with a horse ride on the Sunday morning which I wasn't too keen on but it was fun to try.

All in all it was a fantastic experience and I definitely will be back!

Super!! We are regular visitors which says it all. Have tried all the accomodation - personal favourite main house for elegance and style. Along with the lovely rooms, variety of dining experiences, the relaxing spa it really is the staff that make the stay so relaxing. Nothing is too much trouble for them very friendly and courteous.

I brought my husband to Lady Helens restaurant for the Tasting Menu. It couldn't have been more perfect. The staff were very attentive and friendly the food and wine was excellent and most important it was great value for money. I will definitely go back in the not too distant future. Thanks to all the staff at mount juliet.
