there is no denying that Tahilla Cove is in the most beautiful setting, the day we arrived the sun was shining and it looked fantastic.. We were greeted by James and all through our 2 night stay both James & Deidre couldnt have been more helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
But i do have to say that the hotel didnt quite live up to what i was expecting, i thought that the decor was a little tired in places and perhaps somewhat dated.
We had a downstairs room and unfortunately the people upstairs were either extremely noisey or the floors were made of paper, it was very very noisey. The bed was very very firm and i had a terrible sleep.
We did have a mouldy shower curtain when we arrived (it was replaced later in the day without us having to say anything)
It is quite remote so be prepared to drive to get a meal, we drove into Sneem and had a meal at O'Gradys pub, great fish and chips!
Breakfast was lovely, although i have never had a cooked breakfast served on a side plate before.
We did enjoy our stay and we were made very welcome but just was a little disappointed after reading the other reviews, it was certainly not a cheap place to stay as we had 2 nights at Tahilla for the same price as 3 nights in the Killarney Plaza!
Not sure if we will go back.
