Wonderful service, tasty food and beautiful setting of Inistioge by the river...what more can one ask for? Highly recommend a visit to Inistioge and this restaurant. The staff were so friendly/helpful and the manager (or perhaps he was the owner) excellent. A kid-friendly menu as well...pizzas, burgers and chips (one of the best chips I have had). If you are in the area, do not miss this one! ; )

Absolutely love this place, the food is fantastic, especially the soups and desserts. The owner is so obliging and helpful. One of my favourite places !!!

We stopped in Inistioge for a warm drink and a snack and happened upon this little cafe. It has a nice cozy atmosphere and is in a great setting right next to the river. We had tea and hot chocolate and some very tasty freshly made chips. Our server was really friendly and had a great sense of humor. Definitely recommend this spot if you are in the area!

This little town was recommended by the proprietor of our B&B in Stonyford. We actually started to go in the restaurant next door to this one, but compared the menus and decided this one was more to our liking. We were certainly glad we did. The waiter/busser/entertainer was a one-man show. We never saw any other employees, but didn't need to. He was great! (I wish I got his name!). The food was fantastic. We even ordered dessert (see picture). My daughter wasn't feeling well, and he made her an "elixer" to help her get better - a mixture of apple cider vinegar, honey and lemon. She actually drank it down and felt much better the next day. So, not only was he a server/busser/entertainer ... he was a doctor, too!

I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Kilkenny area. It is worth the drive just to see this little area by the river, let alone dine in this little bistro!
