We met Michael first who showed us to our room, helped us carry our luggage in and gave us good advice on where to eat lunch. Later we met Anna and realized very quickly that we were spending three days with a very special family in this restored historic school house. Breakfasts were incredible, cooked to order and Anna very quickly figured out what we liked. She helped us plan our itineraries for our sight-seeing days and fixed two lovely picnic baskets for those outings. We also received good advice on pubs, attractions, towns and villages to see and collected some great memories. We sat in the kitchen with them and shared wonderful desserts, got a little closer to the WiFi connection and at all times felt welcomed and right at home. When it looked like our Aer Lingus flight from Dublin back to Heathrow for our trip home might be cancelled, Anna spent extra time, effort, and probably some money using her phone to try to help us make other arrangements. The room was cozy, en suite with about the best shower we had in our whole vacation in Ireland and England. The grounds around the house were immaculate and the location near Castlecomer, 14 miles or so from Kilkenny, was perfect for us. We wanted to stay in one place, get to know some of the local people and the area and that's exactly what we did thanks to Michael and Anna. If you ever have the joy of traveling in Ireland you need to see Kilkenny, the Rock of Cashel and the southeast part of the island. And you need to stay with Anna and family., You will not be disappointed.
