The best part of Captain's Quarters is the location. It is a five minute walk to anything you would want to see and eat. The rooms are ok, but not great. The breakfast was all right, but not great. The best part is that it is located near the docks, meaning that you do not need to walk uphill late at night after going out. It is not a B&B in the way that the others were. It is definitely more a cross between B&B and hotel. The rate was good and the location was fantastic, but I would not spend more than one night here.
For Americans traveling here, they are ecologically conscious, meaning that they do not provide a top sheet or blanket for the bed. All they have is a duvet cover that is washed, or smells like it is, but in a very potent fragrant linen wash that is tough on the nose. The floorboards creak and you make a lot of noise coming and going. Also, you can certainly hear people snoring in other rooms walking around the guesthouse (poor person that I heard!).
