Ms. Mary took us in last minute with no problems. She is a lovely lil elderly lady that is 4th generation of Kinsale. They own the local Tap Tavern just down the hill from the Sea Gull House B&B. They B&B is also located next door to the Desmond Castle which made it easy to find at night after walking the town center. The only negative to our stay would have to be the parking. There is no off street parking. We had to park along the street just passed the B&B on a VERY steep hill. Luckily we had no issues with the car during our stay. Also, there is no internet connection at this B&B. Ms. Mary's breakfast was lovely. The decor of the B&B reminded me of my nan's house growing up. The rooms were clean and of good size. Would stay there again if ever in Kinsale again.

We stayed at the Seagull House on Rick Steeves book recommendation. This is a cute B&B that reminded me of what my Irish grandmother's home used to look like. Mary is adorable and generous and kind. The rooms are clean and small, but comfortable. We told her that our toilet wasn't working and she ran up the stairs to fix it for us. She also owns the Tap Tavern down the hill, which we also went to and enjoyed some delicious Irish cider and her son Brian's funny ghost tour. Mary also cooked us a generous breakfast in the morning of eggs, bacon and toast. You do have to park a little far away due to the crazy narrow hills and streets, but its not a problem.Thanks Mary for an authentic Irish evening!

I had read the reviews prior, so I was prepared for the cold - no problems there. Mary was in The Tap Tavern as expected and was as sweet as could be. Be aware that "street parking" is hard to find - you might have to park a block or so away from the house. My biggest problem was the teeny shower stall - I could barely squeeze through the stall doors and could not move or shower very well. If you are very overweight like me, (250 to 300 lb range) this could be a problem.

Nice place. Good location right in town in Kinsale. Great breakfast. Nice hostess.
